Follow the scent to Merasheen’s merroir! Seaweed, salt, and the crisp, clean sea. Puffin Rock oysters are a boutique cocktail oyster, cup full of meat, a burst of lingering salinity on the front with a mélange of seawood notes and slight minerality. Expect a long-lasting, fresh ocean finish. They are noted for their strong shell, easy-to-find hinge and always clean ~ inside and out.

Storage

  • Refrigerate oysters promptly at 4°C or below
  • Keep them on the lowest shelf under a damp cloth
  • Keep the oysters cup-side down so they retain their natural liquor
  • Before serving, discard any oyster with a shell that remains open when tapped

Serve oysters freshly shucked with lemon or a simple mignonette. Keep the garnishes light so the differences in salinity, texture, and finish stay easy to notice.
