Serving oysters at home

For a tasting, we like to serve two or three varieties side by side. Taste the first oyster from each on its own, then add lemon or mignonette. A proper oyster knife and a stable work surface make opening easier. We're happy to help you compare what's available.

How to serve

Keep oysters refrigerated until opening. Shuck on a stable surface, preserve the liquor in each shell, and serve promptly over ice. Lemon and mignonette are suitable on the side, but taste the first oyster on its own.
